Thinkcar Thinkdiag2 is the upgraded version of Thinkcar Thinkdiag. It comes with 5.0 Bluetooth, double side indicators, upgraded soft rubber sleeve and OBD2 cable, adds CAN-FD protocol, and supports the latest GM vehicles manufactured after 2020. The operation methods of two OBD2 scanners are the same. You need to download Thinkdiag/Thinkdiag+ APP on Android/IOS smartphones and activate the device to perform diagnosis, OBD function, 15+ reset service functions, etc.

PART II
How to use Thinkdiag 2?
Step 1: Download Thinkdiag/Thinkdiag+ APP
Search for “ThinkDiag+” in Google Play (for IOS smartphone), and “ThinkDiag” in APP store (Android smartphone). The APP is FREE to download.
After installation, input your Email address and password to register an account for the first use, and then login with the registered account.
Step 2: Activate THINKDIAG2
Click on any diagnostic function in the Thinkdiag+/Thinkdiag APP
When the activation page appears, click on the “Activate” button, and input the serial number (on the back of Thinkdiag 2 OBD2 scanner) and 8-digit activation code (on the white sticker in the manual book) to activate.
Step 3: Insert the THINKDIAG 2 OBD2 scanner into vehicle’s OBDII port
After inserting, the device is power on if the light turns green.
There are 5 common locations for OBDII port. (See the marks in the figure below)
Step 4: Connect Thinkdiag/Thinkdiag+ APP and device via Bluetooth
Open the Thinkdiag/ThinkDiag+ APP and it will automatically connect with the Bluetooth in the Thinkdiag2 scanner during the diagnostic process.
Step 5: Download diagnostic software automatically
THINKDIAG2 will automatically download the corresponding software for your vehicle during the diagnostics for the first time. No need to download the software again in the future.
Step 6: Perform the functions supported
You can perform all system diagnosis, OBD functions, maintenance functions, etc by clicking on the corresponding option on the home page.
For example, click “ALL SYSTEMS DIAGNOSTIC” to access the all systems diagnosis DIAGNOSTIC function. After entering, you can read VIN information intelligently or choose your own vehicle brand to enter diagnosis.
Click “OBD Function” to enter the OBD function. You can read fault code, clear fault code, read data stream, freeze frame, O2 sensor test, ON-BOARD monitoring and EVAP system.
Some tips to use Thinkdiag2 diagnostic scanner:
1.The indicator light of Thinkdiag 2 will appear in different colors when you using the device.
The continuous red light indicates that the device is power on.
The continuous blue lightindicates that the Bluetooth is connected.
The continuous green light indicates the Diagnostic connection indicator.
