The VAPON VP100 is specifically designed for key programming on BMW G-Chassis models (2015–2021) equipped with BDC2 systems. This guide provides step-by-step instructions to add a key on bench with ease.
Operating instructions:
Step 1: Backup Encoding
Step 2: Preprocessing Data
Step 3: Generate Dealer Key
Step 4: Enable Key
Step 1: Backup Encoding
Connect the VAPON VP100 BMW key programmer to the BDC2 module properly
Before proceeding with key programming, select the “Backup Encoding” function.
The device will read and save the coding data.
Once the process is complete, a confirmation message will appear.
Step 2: Preprocessing Data
Disconnect all cables from the VP100 device and BDC2 module.
Connect the BDC2 adapter to the BDC2 module.
Then, connect the BDC2 adapter to the VP100 key programmer.
Start the preprocessing procedure — all steps will be clearly displayed on the screen. Simply follow the on-screen instructions step by step.
Enter boot programming mode
Download BOOTLOAD (bench mode)- pass security authentication
Read FLASH data (bench mode)- get data
Restore SWFL- download data
Restore encoded files- restore data
Once all steps are completed, preprocessing is finished
Step 3: Generate Dealer Key
Disconnect the BDC2 adapter from both the VP100 and the BDC2 module.
Reconnect the standard cables between the VP100 and the BDC2 module.
Select the “Generate Dealer Key” function.
Insert the original key into the RFID slot of the VP100
Select an available key position (e.g., Key8).
The system will read the key information.
Insert a new key into the RFID slot.
The device will write the key information and complete the generation process.
Step 4: Enable Key
Insert the newly programmed key into the vehicle’s ignition.
Press and hold the ignition button for at least 15 seconds to begin the learning process.
Select the “Learn Key” function on the VP100.
The system will confirm that the new key (e.g., Key #8) has been successfully programmed.
Final Step:
Reinstall the BDC2 module into the vehicle
Test both the original and newly programmed keys to ensure successful operation.
Done!
