Fault Description: Throttle 1

This error relates to the analog accelerator pedal sensor (1) or a dual accelerator pedal sensor. The voltage measured by the ECU is outside the acceptable range, or the calculated pedal position conflicts with the position of the second pedal sensor.

Error Code Details

DEUTZ Error Code: 12
Blink Code: 2 – 2 – 6 (short-long-short)
SPN: 91

FMI (Failure Mode Indicator):

FMI 3: Voltage too high or short circuit to +Ubatt
FMI 4: Voltage too low or short circuit to -Ubatt
FMI 12: Error mode cannot be recognized
FMI 2: Data stream is defective

Error Detection

The error lamp remains continuously lit.
Entry is logged in the error memory.

Possible Causes

Voltage outside the expected range.
Inconsistent signal compared to the redundant pedal sensor.
Sensor failure.
Damaged connecting cables.

Corrective Measures

Inspect the Wiring:

Look for damage, corrosion, or loose connections.
Repair or replace any compromised sections.

Check the Accelerator Pedal Sensor:

Test the voltage range to ensure it falls within specifications.
Verify the signal consistency between redundant sensors (if applicable).

Replace Faulty Components:

Replace the sensor if it is found defective.
Replace or repair the connecting cables if needed.

System Reaction

The system triggers a warning.
It may switch to an alternative value based on the priority chain or enter a “limp home” mode.

Error Lamp Behavior

Continuously lit.

Self-Healing

No: The error must be manually corrected.
