Error Description:

Microswitch (Radiator Grille Trim – Truck / Microswitch B1 – Bus): Short circuit to power.

Possible Causes:

Fault in the wiring harness or connectors leading to the microswitch.
Defective microswitch.
Internal fault in the ALM control unit (E7).

Symptoms:

The microswitch is malfunctioning, leading to system errors.
The alarm is triggered, and the siren sounds when the error code occurs.

Repair Steps:

Remove the Microswitch:

Disconnect the microswitch and observe if a new open circuit fault code appears.
If an open circuit code is generated, the microswitch is likely defective.

Measure Harness Component:

Test the pin of the nearest harness component connector that connects to control unit pin A18 for faults.

Disconnect the Control Unit:

Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the control unit.

If there are multiple connectors between the microswitch and the control unit, test each one to isolate the fault.
