Situation Overview

Issue: After installing a PDK Shift Fork Position Sensor and performing basic settings with PIWIS 3, the check engine light came on, and PIWIS indicated a calibration failure. Fault code 10040 was displayed, indicating that the PDK transmission module was not programmed. The vehicle won’t start due to no communication with the DME.

New Control Unit and Original PIWIS 3:

Contact Y-Tech confirmed that the control unit got disprogrammed. A new control unit has been ordered, along with the original PIWIS 3 (instead of a Chinese version), which might have caused the problem.
Plan to program the new unit with Y-Tech’s help.
