This guide explains how to perform the “Install DPF” test for Paccar EPA10 to EPA13 MX engines, using JPRO, after installing either a new or cleaned Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF).

All Paccar EPA10 to EPA13 MX engines.
Overview:
The “Install DPF” test is used to reset the vehicle’s ash level to match the status of the newly installed or cleaned DPF. This procedure should only be performed after the DPF has been installed.
Steps:
Start the Test:
Select “Install DPF” and press Enter or click the Start button.
Test Dialog:
The Install DPF dialog will appear on your screen.
Select DPF Type:
Choose either “Install New DPF” or “Install Cleaned DPF” based on your installation. The relevant test information will be displayed accordingly.
View Detailed Instructions:
Click on the procedure steps to view the detailed instructions needed for a successful installation.
Check Preconditions:
Ensure all necessary conditions are met before proceeding with the installation.
Begin the Installation:
Click the Install button to start the procedure.
Key Off the Engine:
Follow the on-screen instructions to turn off the engine when prompted.
Countdown:
Once the engine is off, a countdown timer will begin.
Key On the Engine:
When the countdown finishes, follow the instructions to turn the engine back on.
Completion:
After the engine is on, you will see a message confirming that the procedure has been successfully completed.
Exit the Test:
Click the Exit button to return to the test selection menu.
