OBDSTAR DC706 with ECM V30.70 is able to read and write JEEP CONTINENTAL GPEC2 MPC5566+95320 via BOOT mode. If you use P003 or P003+ connections, you will need to prepare a 120-ohm resistor. But you don’t need to connect a 120-ohm resistor if you use the MP001 connection. It’s easier and safer to work with OBDSTAR MP001 Programmer. Check the operation guide below.
What is required to work with OBDSTAR DC706 ECU Tool?
MP001 Programmer, main diagnostic cable, 12V power supply, OBDSTAR P004 ECU Clone Jumper
How to clone Jeep GPEC2 ECM?
1.Select ECU Flasher>> ECM>> ECM V30.70 or above version>> gpec2>> JEEP CONTINENTAL GPEC2 MPC5566+95320
2.Click “Start” and select “BOOT” and “MP001” mode
3.Make sure the network connection is normal during the operation
4.Check the wiring diagram and connect DC706 and Jeep GPEC2 ECM properly
5.Click “Connect” to connect MP001 and OBDSTAR DC706 ECU Programmer
After the ECU connection is successful, start to read and write ECM data
6.Read original ECM data
Select the corresponding option to read EXT EEPROM (95320) and INT flash (MPC5566) of the original GPEC2 ECM separately, and then save the data in sequence
7.Write original ECM data to a new ECM
Select the original EXT EEPROM and INT Flash data just saved in step 6 to write into a new ECM correctly
Wait a moment until the writing operations are completed.
