LAUNCH X431 Elite 2.0 FGC can unlock FCA SGW (Security Gateway) for vehicles after 2017+ without FCA 12+8 Cable. After unlocking SGW, the diagnostics software not only supports “Version information”, “Read DTC” and “Read Data Stream”, but also supports “Clear Fault Code”, “Actuation Test”, “Read Config”, “Special Function”, etc.

STEP 1

Add tool SN through AutoAuth Website

1.Access the AutoAuth website below.

North American Registration/Login Address: https://webapp.autoauth.com/

Europe Registration/Login Address: https://www.technicalinformation.fiat.com

2.After login, add tool as follows:

MANUFACTURER: Launch
TOOL MODEL: Others
SERIAL NUMBER: Input the SN of the X431 Elite 2.0

3.Then click “Add Tool”

STEP 2

Unlock FCA SGW by X431 Elite 2.0 FGC

How to Start and Update Launch Creader Elite 2.0 FGC to Use?

After that, start to unlock FCA SGW as follows.

Select Diagnose>> Chrysler>> Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge software (i.e. V34.85)>> 16 PIN Connector>> Automatically Search

Check if there are any other OBD communication components installed on the vehicle, remove it if Yes and then perform diagnosis

Confirm the vehicle info incl. VIN, model year, body style, engine, etc

Select “Yes” to unlock SGW

Select your region (North America, European, or Other), and input the FCA AutoAuth username and password

Click “OK” and wait for the unlock process to be completed

Launch X431 Creader Elite 2.0 FGC OBD2 Scanner will display “SGW (Security Gateway) Has Been Unlocked Successfully” once the FCA vehicle is successfully unlocked.
