The left one is Launch X431 PRO3 ACE, and the right one is Launch X431 CRP919E BT. We’re going to compare them in hardware configuration, function, and test them on a 2007 Jeep Wrangler to see how the graphing works and how they function relative to each other.
1.VCI
Both are the updated VCI, called DBSCAR VII Connector. They have got USB-C type-C connectors on the bottom and have got a cord that is probably 2 and 1/2 3T long. They’re five times faster than their old VCI.
2.Hardware configuration
The X431 PRO3 ACE is equipped with 2.0GHz 4-core processor, Android 10.0, 10.1 inch 1280*800 touch screen, 4GB RAM+ 64GB ROM, Rear 8.0 MP Camera, 2.4&5GHz dual WI-FI Communication and a super larger 6300mAh/7.6V battery (=12600mAh/3.7V battery).

Both have a USB-A and USB-C port for accessories, and you can get your power on the corner. You also can see an 8.0 MP Camera. Both Launch scanners have a mic, so if you do screen records, it can pick up voice.
ACE has a bracket on the back while CRP919 BT doesn’t have.
X431 PRO3 ACE scanner will go all the way back to 1984 vehicles. It comes with a box with your specially connectors for your OBD1 vehicles.
3.Service function
PRO3 ACE has 41 special functions and CRP919EBT has 35.
4.Other functions
PRO3 ACE has topology mapping that many people like while CRP919E BT doesn’t have.
X-431 PRO3 ACE is also compatible with ADAS. You can see the ADAS icon on the main menu, but X431 CRP919EBT is not.
Both are AutoAuth for FCA SGW. So if you’ve got a 2018 or newer Dodge, Fiat or Chrysler vehicle, you’re going to need a scan tool that is Auto Authority compatible cost $50 to go to the Auto Authority website and register your scan tool with the site so you can use on the supported vehicles.
Both are compatible with CAN FD and DOIP, VAG guided function (for VW, Audi, Skoda).
Both are able to activate hidden and high-end function. There’re a lot of hidden features of a lot of these modern cars that you can turn on and off or customized to your liking.
Both have coding and programming. Now you’re going to be a little bit more limited on the CRP919E BT as far as the coding and programming. Pro3 ACE is going to have about as much coding and programming functionality as a scan tool is able to have.
As far as key programming, these will pull pin codes on some vehicles such as Nissan and GM.
They both support two years free update.
The shopping malls are similar. You can get the full update by the subscription card.
Both supports other modules, we can see there are 9 options on the X431 PRO3 ACE scanner, and there are 12 options on the Creader CRP919E BT (add Teamviewer, Testable models and system upgrade).

While X431 CRP919EBT only has 3 items incl. TPMS, BST360 and Video scope.
5.Intelligent diagnose
Connect two Launch scan tools and the 2007 Jeep Wrangler car via DBScar VII connectors to diagnose the vehicle intelligently
Both can identify the vehicle info and diagnose the vehicle fast.
The main difference is that ACE has topology display and you see which system has fault code visually, but CRP919EBT doesn’t have topology and enters the menu directly.
When we click “System List” on the bottom of PRO3 ACE scanner, we also can see the menu that is the same as CRP919EBT.
We check the actuation test, special function and read data stream, both show the same.
In conclusion, Launch X-431 PRO3 ACE is more expensive than X-431 CRP919E BT as it supports more functions. Both are very good scanners. Just depend on your need to choose one.
