Question:
How to use Yanhua Mini ACDP 2 to clone BMW N46 MEV1721 on bench?
Here is the clue.
First, you need to have Mini ACDP2 Programmer with 20 Pin cable, ACDP BMW-DME-Adapter X8 Bench Interface Board and A51C BMW ECU Clone Software License.
BMW X8 Bench Interface Board Overview:
It is specially designed for N45/N46 DME ISN read/write and clone.
Module Function:
Support BMW E chassis N45 (ME1721) / N46 (MEV1721) DME ISN read/write and clone.
Module Feature:
1.No need to open DME shell, no need to drill hole on DME, no need to plug wire.
2.The special interface board connection method replaces the traditional plugging wire method to prevent plug wire to opposite direction and wrong place, simple and efficient, plug and play, safe and reliable.
Next, connect ACDP 2 and DME correctly
Step 1. Please prepare ACDP-2, 20Pin cable, X8 interface board and DME.
Step 2. Connect the interface board correctly to the DME interface as shown.
Step 3. Short the jumper cap to the “CAN-R” port according to the marked position.
Step 4. Connect ACDP, 20Pin cable, interface board and DME.
Note:
1.Please connect ACDP2 with DME properly;
2.Please don’t cut the power nor pull out the device during the operation.
Last, run ACDP-II software
Select BMW>> ECU Clone>> BOSCH DME>> Exx>> N45 (ME1721) or N46 (MEV1721)>> Identify>> Full Backup Data>> Full Write Data
Here is the actual test on N46 (MEV1721) ECU Clone:
Connection:
Identify the original ECU chip info and save the data
Full back up the original ECU data
Connect to a donor N46 (MEV1721) ECU
Read the chip info, select the original ECU chip data and write into the new ECU
Full write data successfully
