Three connection modes
USB Connection Mode: Connect via the USB cable.
AP Connection (Wifi connection directly) Mode: Connects to a computer via the built-in WIFI of VNCI MDI2, similar to Bluetooth connection.
Station Connection Mode (WLAN Connection): Connect the VNCI MDI2 device and the computer to the same local area network.

For Ford/Mazda, choose VNCI MF J2534 or VNCI VCM3.
Both work with Ford/Mazda IDS software, support software update by link, and firmware update online.
The difference is that VCM3 is compatible with OEM software driver, supports CAN FD and DOIP protocols, plug and play, can support new Ford pickup trucks and EV cars, but MF J2534 doesn’t have these functions.
VCM3 is compatible with any version of Ford IDS, FDRS (new software), Mazda IDS, MDARS (new software) software, but VNCI MF only supports Ford/Mazda IDS software.
VCM3 supports 1996-2024+ Ford/Mazda while MF supports 1996-2023.
VCM3 supports USB, WiFi, and LAN three connection methods, but MF doesn’t support LAN.
As VCM3 has more functions than MF, it’s more expensive.

SVCI is not developed any more. The hardware is switched to the new VNCI MF J2534. They have the same functions.
VNCI and VXDIAG can support the latest Ford and Mazda IDS software.
Both can be used as j2534 passthru for Ford FDRS Mazda MDARS for online programming.
VNCI MF J2534 can also be used as ELM327 device. It is also compatible with other software HDS TIS VIDA SDD etc.

For VW Audi Skoda Seat, choose VNCI 6154A VAG Diagnostic Tool.
It’s good for beginners because it’s cheap, plug and play, easy to use.
VNCI supports both DoIP and CAN FD protocols. It’s only for VAG vehicles, and cannot be used as passthru device.
As it’s the same as the genuine one except for appearance, no need to install an extra driver. Run with original drivers no need any modifications to drivers. No need any license.
Besides, there is an option to change the serial number in the VNCI firmware update tool.
