Newer Honda models, such as the Accord and City, store mileage data in a secured Spansion MCU (S6J3001LSJ). While there is also an RH66 chip in the system, mileage data is not stored within it.
Below is a step-by-step guide to correct the mileage on a Honda S6J3001 instrument cluster using CGDI CG100X Programmer.
Example: Honda City with S6J3001 Cluster
Original Mileage: 29,224 km
Steps to Correct Mileage:
1.Run Software
Open the CG100X software and navigate to the Dashboard function.
2.Select Vehicle Model
Choose Honda>> ACCORD>> S6J3001 from the menu
3.Verify Wiring Diagram
Refer to the provided wiring diagram in the software and confirm that it matches your cluster. Ensure the setup includes a 12V power supply.
4.Connect the Programmer
Use the Pro Adapter V2 to connect the CGDI CG100X to the instrument cluster.
Ensure all connections are secure before proceeding.
5.Start Operation
Click Start Operation to establish the connection.
Read the MCU data and save the file.
6.Verify Current Mileage
The CG100X will display the current mileage of the vehicle. Confirm that it matches or is very close to the original mileage (29,224 km in this case).
7.Input Target Mileage
Enter the desired mileage, e.g., 18,200 km.
8.Write the New Mileage
Press OK to write the updated mileage data to the cluster.
A confirmation message will appear once the process is successful.
9.Reinstall the Instrument Cluster
Reinstall the cluster back into the vehicle and check that the new mileage displays correctly.
Done!
